Colin Maltby
DIRECTOR
Colin is a lawyer and banker with over 25 years’ experience. He qualified with Theodore Goddard and is the Founder of MCA, as well as previously First Sentinel Advisory, and prior to that, On Demand Lawyers. He brings expertise from both the legal and financial arenas, having previously worked in-house at Coutts & Co. and UBS. Colin specialises in international investment structuring, corporate/ commercial and corporate finance work for family offices, SMEs and listed companies. He also spent many years working in the creative industry as a lighting designer for theatre and dance, and has a particular specialism in advising creative clients.
Melisa Barrios
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Melisa qualified in Argentina and is an experienced international corporate lawyer, following her undergraduate degree in law at Universidad de Buenos Aires and post-graduate studies in Compliance and Criminal Liability of Legal Entities at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. She brings a solid understanding of international, civil, commercial and business law to MC and before joining us was a Senior Associate at a law firm in Buenos Aires, advising both Argentinian and international companies on corporate transactions and business development. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Cecilia Calello
ASSOCIATE
Cecilia Calello graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires, holding a double honours in Administrative Law and Public International Law. She was a member of the roll of honour of her alumni, placed within the top 10 for her year, and received the Academic Excellence Award of the Buenos Aires City Bar Association. Before joining our team, Cecilia worked as an Associate in the intellectual property department at Marval O'Farrell Mairal, where she gained valuable experience and developed a particular interest in intellectual property matters.
Cecilia manages our back office, contributing across the board on many client matters and providing some pro bono services in relation to human rights. She serves as Coordinator of the Human Rights Centre at the University of Buenos Aires and is deeply committed to this field.
Cecilia is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Jenny Liu
ASSOCIATE, ACCA QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT
Jenny Liu is a qualified ACCA Accountant. Her previous experience includes roles in accounting and project management in the banking and insurance sectors in her native China, as well as an Assistant to the Director role for an investment advisory company in Edinburgh. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management with a major in Accounting from the Chongqing University of Technology, and an MSc in Finance from the University of Sheffield. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Dibber Zhang
ACCOUNTANT
Dibber is responsible for MCA’s accounting matters. Prior to this role, he gained valuable experience working as a journalist and operations manager within the media and transportation sectors. Dibber holds a Master of Corporate Finance from Queen Mary University of London and is currently working towards obtaining an ACCA qualification by taking exams. Dibber can speak Chinese and English fluently.
Tomas French
CONSULTANT
Tomas is a corporate lawyer with over 15 years of experience. He qualified in Argentina where he developed a deep understanding of M&A, Finance, and Commercial law with a specific focus on international transactions. He is also an entrepreneur with a clear understanding of business issues, having funded and currently CEO of a business intelligence software company. Tomas acts as a consultant to MCA on specific corporate matters. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
